The Power of Four is a concept that was inspired by Richard Bliss Brooke’s book, The Four Year Career.

I’d like to review his concepts with you (as explained in Chapter 6):

#1: People

“Network Marketing is a lot of people doing a little bit each, as opposed to a traditional sales business model where a few people do a lot.”

In order to qualify for the large bonuses or be able to earn enough money to leave your current job (if so desired), you need to a lot of product sold under your watch. The optimal way to do this is to have 1000, 2000, or 30,000 to “sell for you”.

That might seem like a lot of people to know or manage, but you really don’t need to do that.

Rather, you can use a geometric progression called Exponential Growth. You may remember this from your math studies; it is represented at 4^n where n is a number started at 0.

It starts with 4^0 = 1 (YOU)

Okay, I am not going to quiz you on this but as a former Computer Engineer who LOVES math, this equation is true. Translated, if you are at ground ZERO and just starting your business, you will be the sole person responsible to sharing the products and finding happy customers.

If you want to take your business to another level (1), you can recruit FOUR people to help you! You will want to join forces with them as a close-knit entrepreneurial group and support each other with all your hearts (and heads).

Remember, many hands make light work.

At this level, you have 5 people working with you! Hooray!  4^1 + 1 = 5.

How to take it to Level 2

Here’s where the magic happens. You now have 4 business partners who need to start their team…just like you did! They start at ground ZERO and need to recruit FOUR people to help them. Upon THEIR successful endeavors, guess what?

You will have 21 people working with you! Hip hip hooray! 4^2 + 5 = 21.

Bump it up to Level 3

Your new Level 2 recruits now need to have 4 business partners who need to start their team…just like you did! They start at ground ZERO and need to recruit FOUR people to help them. Upon THEIR successful endeavors, guess what?

You will have 85 people working with you! Lovely! 4^3 + 21 = 85.

Expand to Level 4

Your new Level 3 recruits now need to have 4 business partners who need to start their team…just like you did! They start at ground ZERO and need to recruit FOUR people to help them. Upon THEIR successful endeavors, guess what?

You will have 341 people working with you! Wonderful! 4^4 + 85 = 341.

Explode to Level 5

Your new Level 4 recruits now need to have 4 business partners who need to start their team…just like you did! They start at ground ZERO and need to recruit FOUR people to help them. Upon THEIR successful endeavors, guess what?

You will have 1,365 people working with you! Amazing! 4^5 + 341 = 1,365.

Do you see a pattern here?

It’s call the power of DUPLICATION.

Your role is Networking Marketing is to just get the first FOUR.

“The key to believing in getting 1,000 or 2,000 people on your team is to break the whole process down into a duplicate bite size piece. And that piece is how many you (and just you) can get. The belief lies in a simple question you can ask yourself: “If you really, really wanted to, could you find four people, anywhere in North America, any occupation, any adult age, any education, to do this? Before you answer—let’s define “do this.” It is defined as using the product, recommending it to other people and inviting others on a consistant basis to look at the opportunity … just to look. So I ask you again. If you really, really wanted to, could you find four?” Excerpt From: Richard Bliss Brooke. “The Four Year Career.” iBooks.

#2: Product Sales

On my team, I encourage partners to shoot for selling $500 a month. That’s it!

#3 Royalty Income

This is where it starts to get exciting. Because you receive a bonus commission for everyone’s sales on your team, you can see that if you have many layers of partners, that starts to add up to some serious money!

#4 Residual Income and Asset Value

Once you build a team, you will have income coming in EVERY MONTH as other’s work on their goals and sales. Your business an income-generating asset and you can someday sell it to someone else, or will it to your family.
